About the Author Dario Salas Sommer (aka John Baines), was born into a family of educators in Santiago, Chile. At first, he wrote under the pseudonym of John Baines, switching to his natural name after his personal success in the world of philosophy, science, and the humanities. His books have been translated from Spanish into Arabic, English, Bulgarian, Chinese, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Russian. His titles in English, The Secret Science, Stellar Man, Science of Love, HypsoConsciousness, and Morals for the 21st Century have a growing popularity in the United States and in other English-speaking countries, many of them already in their fifth or sixth edition. In 1970, he founded the Institute for Hermetic Philosophy in Santiago to foster his work as a researcher, philosopher, scientist, and humanitarian. The Institute has grown to include branches worldwide in the United States, Europe, South and Central America. The author has dedicated himself to fostering the universal qualities of true humanness by exploring the relationship between natural laws and harmonious development of the individual, venturing into scientific terrains such as Quantum Physics and Biophotonics. All his works, and the work of the Institute, are intended to enrich and harmonize man's understanding of himself and his relation to all. The author is a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RAEN) whose ranks include over 20 Nobel Prize winners, and serves as honorary Scientific Consul for Latin America on behalf of the Russian Academy of Arts and Sciences of the Union (ANIS).
