Product Description The RocketRAID 2680SGL is a high-performance SAS RAID solution, delivering reliability to demanding data-intensive applications such as tiered storage environments (disk-to-disk), security and surveillance, video editing, and digital content creation. Support for both SAS and SATA 3Gb/s drives on the same controller maintains configuration optimization for performance based on the characteristics of SAS and SATA drives available today. From the Manufacturer Reduce Up-Front Costs without sacrificing Utility or Performance The RocketRAID 2680SGL package significantly reduces up-front costs, yet retains all features of the standard retail product. SGL HBA�s allow Solution Providers to configure storage platforms to meet a client's exact specifications, while avoiding unwanted expenses and incompatible cabling hardware. The RocketRAID 2680SGL 8 device ports can support SAS and SATA devices in a multitude of storage configurations, including non-RAID JBOD�s, single disks, and RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, and 50 arrays. The RocketRAID 2680SGL is compliant with all major operating systems including Windows, Linux and FreeBSD, and utilizes Highpoint�s Unified Web-Based Management interface, which allows both novices and experts to quickly configure, manage and monitor storage configurations. Seamless Integration with Existing Storage Infrastructure The RocketRAID 2680SGL is fully backwards compatible with SATA 1.5Gb/s devices, and can be easily integrated into a clients existing storage infrastructure. RocketRAID 2680SGL, utilize Unified Firmware Architecture. Client�s benefit from the clear, hassle free upgrade path; storage configurations can be easily scaled, shared, and migrated between all RR2600/2700 series HBA�s, including future product releases.
