Ken Regan was born and grew up in the Bronx. He studied journalism at Columbia and attended New York University's Film School. His photography career began in the sports arena where he covered the World Series Super Bowls the Olympics heavyweight championship fights Hockey Basketball Tennis Auto Racing and other professional sports for Time Sports Illustrated Life and Newsweek. By the late Eighties Ken had over 200 magazine covers to his credit as well as numerous awards from the Missouri School of Journalism and World Press Photo to the New York Newspaper Guild. Known as much for his catching abilities as his 'Yogi-isms Yogi Berra played on 10 World Series championship teams and appeared in 14 World Series with the New York Yankees. Berra was selected to the All-Star team every year from 1948 to 1962 and was a three-time American League MVP. He called three no-hitters one of them Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. Ken Regan and Yogi Berra have each hand signed this 16x20 photograph of Yogi having champagne poured on him while celebrating in the locker room at Yankee Stadium. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
