Product Packaging:Standard Packaging Wireless GPS uses the SiRF III chipsetThe BT-821 is a high performance, Bluetooth GPS receiver that is WAAS/EGNOS enabled by default and incorporates the 20-channel SiRF III GPS chipset. Combining the BT-821’s Bluetooth wireless technology with a Bluetooth enabled devices such as Smartphones, PDA’s or laptops which support Serial Port Protocol SPP (regardless of their operating system) and your favorite navigation software (street, topo, ocean, aviation), you can create a sophisticated navigation system at a fraction of the cost of larger dedicated navigation units.The BT-821 offers up to 23 hours of continuous use from a single charge, making it the ideal GPS for extended navigation trips, whether on the road or on the trail. Battery usage is substantially increased by having a built-in auto shut-off feature that power’s off the BT-821 after 10-minutes of no active connectivity with the host device. Should the BT-821 ever be accidentally left on when exiting a vehicle, or within a backpack, the auto shut-off feature will power-off the GPS receiver to conserve battery resources.The BT-821 comes complete with a 12VDC cigarette lighter adapter for in-vehicle charging. The sleek, compact design of the BT-821 makes it easy to carry in a pocket, purse, backpack or even on a belt when using the optional belt-case (sold separately).BT-821 Package Contents: BT-821 Bluetooth GPS Receiver. 3.7 Volt Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery. 12VDC Car Charger. (Pairing code: 0000).2) Enable "Allow mock locations" on your device by going to Device Settings > Applications > Development > turn on or check"Allow mock locations". If you can't find Developer Options in your settings. 3) Then open the GPSInfo App. 4) Tap on "Choose Bluetooth GPS", and select the GlobalSat Bluetooth GPS receiver (listed as "BT-GPS-XXXXX"). 5) Check the box “Location Provider Options” and it should change to: "Bluetooth GPS to replace internal GPS". 6) Tap on "Start/Stop GPS". 7) You should then be able to see the GPS data by tapping on "NMEA Data" and "GPS Data". If you want to record the NMEA log, check the box "Enable/Disable NMEA log". The NMEA Log will be recorded in "/sdcard/nmea".Then leave GPS info running in the background and use your navigational app. NOTE: Once you pair the Bluetooth GPS to your PC, it is not supposed to be always "connected". Unfortunately, due to restrictions put on by Apple, Apple's iOS devices (iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch) do not support our external Bluetooth GPS Receivers.
