The molded nylon material is designed to securely hold the Tomahawk in place with a friction fit and quick release secondary retention system. The pivoting belt mount allows the handle to be rotated out of the way when not in use. This sheath has a length of 9-inches, width of 4-inches, thickness of 2.4-inches and weight of 9-ounces. To pull tomahawk out of the sheath, rotate the end and pull back and down on the tomahawk to release it. To return it to the sheath, put the spike end in first then rotate the head into the sheath. Little dimples within the sheath provide friction fit, and it snaps into place. To ensure it\'s securely fastened, rotate the secondary clip around. The back of the sheath has a BladeTech Tek-Lok 2.0 latching attachment system, which is held in place by two robust retaining tabs. With the simple motion of a thumb or finger, a redundant lock rotates out of the way to enable you to pinch the retaining tabs and conveniently remove the Tek-Lok from your belt.
