상품설명
Our natural Heartwood Cactus Rain Sticks are handcrafted in Chile and produce a mystical sound like rain trickling. The 30" length is considered a large rainstick, and allows for an extended rain fall duration. By slowly rotating the rainstick while holding it at a gengle angle, the rain fall will last much longer. --- After the plentiful Capado cactus plant lives about 6 decades it dies and dries out, and is then harvested, cleaned, and hollowed out by native artisans. The spines are pushed into the hard wood body, or small sticks are inserted, and many very small pebbles are sealed inside. The unique sound produced by turning the stick from end to end is mesmerizing to children and adults alike, and is still used in traditional rain ceremonies throughout South America today. * sturdy construction will stand up to use in the classroom, home, or band over time * much clearer sound than plastic or poorly made imitation rainsticks * Bright yarn dyed in red/yellow/green colors is wrapped around one end of the rainstick * clear sealant applied for a smoother, more durable and moisture-resistant finish * in some cases the spines may work their way out of the cactus body during shipping. if this is uncomfortable, simply use a butter knife or flat screwdriver to gently press them back into the rainstick. * your purchase of this rainstick helps support the efforts of Africa Heartwood Project. Note: If your rainstick arrives damaged please contact us immediately so we can advise as to the best way to get you taken care of and hold shippers accountable for improper handling of your package. Thank you!
