Product Description Nordic Pure air filters have an actual size that is a fraction of an-Inch smaller than the standard size (also known as "nominal size"). The size printed on your air filter may NOT be the Actual Size. With the 4-Inch and 5-Inch air filters there is a wider variance between the nominal size and actual size for the different manufacturers. Just check the "Actual Size" before ordering. We manufacture high efficiency pleated furnace air filters for your heating and air conditioning systems. We can make most odd sized custom HVAC air filters for low cost and fast free delivery. Our non-woven synthetic filter media will not support the growth of mold or bacteria, keeping your home healthier. Our air filters use permanently charged electrostatic material that helps dust cling to the air filter. This helps protect your family from allergy causing pollen, fine dust, tobacco and cooking smoke, airborne plant spores, bacteria, and some viruses. Changing your air filter is the first step in insuring your HVAC system runs at its optimal level this season. Generally, you should change your 1-Inch and 2-Inch air filters every 30, 60, or 90 days. The 4, 5 and 6-Inch air filters should be changed every 3 to 6 months. Standard air filters generally ship within 2-10 business days. Actual shipping time will depend on delivery address. A human hair is about 70 microns wide. A MERV 8 Nordic Pure air filter captures airborne particles as small as 3.0 to 10.0 microns. This high performance air filter will outperform non-electrostatic fiber-glass filters, washable filters, and poly disposable filters.
