Product Description Sawyer's first aid pack of SAM splints is a complete solution for your emergency first aid or disaster kit that helps protect and immobilize injured extremities including fingers, wrists, arms and legs. The lightweight 4 ounce, compact and easy to transport protection pack includes one 36-inch long original SAM splint, two SAM finger splints, one gauze roll, tape strips, and an instructional DVD. Built from a thin core of aluminum alloy and sandwiched between two layers of closed-cell foam, the SAM splint bends into any of three simple curves to give the splint strength to immobilize a fractured or injured limb. The SAM splint is extremely moldable and soft enough to cut with ordinary household scissors. The splint can remain in place on an injured extremity during X-rays thanks to the radiolucent materials used in its construction.
