상품설명
Epiphyllum, or orchid cactus, are native to the Brazilian rain forests, where they grow and bloom in the forked branches of towering trees. Wide, wavy, flat stems have a trailing, segmented form with lightly serrated edges. In spring, extravagant blooms up to 8 inches across emerge at the tips of the stems, and can last for several days. A trully stunning performance. To make orchid cactus happy so far from their native home, provide bright, filtered light, and protect from direct sun and from temperatures below 40. After the spring blooms are spent, prune back the several stems to produce a fuller, bushier plant. Be sure to save those cuttings to propogate additional plants! An easy care succulent, Epiphyllum prefer even moisture, and light feedings in spring and fall will enhance the blooming. The plants rest a bit in summer and winter, when the soil should be kept just barely damp. Best performance and best blooming come from root bound plants, so upsize the pot only after several years growth. What a fun addition to your garden, indoors or out.
