상품설명
The Blues Crossroads is where U.S. Highway 61 and 49 cross in Clarksdale, Mississippi. It is said the legendary blues musician, Robert Johnson recorded his song Cross Road Blues about this place. The song was very influential on blues and later rock music. We've all heard the line "Went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees." Cross Road Blues is where it came from! --This is a hand-built in the U.S.A., three-string cigar box guitar. It has a reproduction of the Robert Johnson record label and the symbols of Highway 61 and 49. It is built with a Arturo Fuente brand cigar box. The hand-carved neck is maple, fretted on an oak fretboard. It has a bolt bridge, bolt nut, strap buttons, hinge tailpiece, chrome tuners, corners and sound holes. The scale is 25 inches (the distance between the nut and the bridge) and is tuned to open E (E B E). It may also be tuned to open G or open D. It has a magnetic pickup and volume control, so plug it into an amp and turn it up! --The three-string cigar box guitar grew out of a tradition of homemade instruments made by people with little money. An instrument of hard times, people used ingenuity to create guitars out of found or scavenged materials. Many early blues and country musicians played on instruments like these. B.B. King and Lightnin' Hopkins are just a few of the many musicians who started out on with these guitars. Lately, there's been a resurgence of interest in cigar box guitars. People wanting to connect to a more roots feeling of blues, country or rock styles find these instruments a great way to recreate those sounds. They also look good hanging on a wall! --This guitar is a hand-made folk-art instrument built by musician Gary Reichel and has some imperfections to fit in with the spirit and tradition of the cigar box guitar. It can have a country, blues or rock feel to it and is easy and fun to play!
