상품설명
Size:Regular TRADITIONAL MINSTREL DESIGN, EXOTIC WOOD...PLAIN PRICE. Pea Patch Minstrel Style Bones are perfect for thrifty living-history minstrel band performers, Civil War reenactors or any bones connoisseur on a budget. SOLID BOXWOOD (AKA "white ebony"): Boxwood is a hard, close-grained and heavy exotic evergreen native to England and Turkey that delivers a strong sharp tone. This intriguing wood comes from a shrub that usually stands no higher than 3 feet at maturity and can take a century to reach a trunk diameter of 3 inches. Despite its small size, boxwood produces extremely dense wood that is so heavy it barely floats. Some folks call it "white ebony." Boxwood is a knotty wood noted for a creamy yellowish tan heartwood that is indistinguishable from the sapwood. The timber is a pale yellow when freshly cut, then slowly changes to a warm brownish yellow with exposure. The unusual wood exhibits a very fine uniform texture featuring a rich and satiny luster. HISTORICALLY ACCURATE DESIGN: The most popular woods during the American Minstrel Era were ebony and rosewood. Now you can treat yourself to rare budget-priced rhythm bones made from exotic boxwood. The design is patterned after vintage Percy Danforth minstrel style bones made by the late master woodcrafter, Ray Schairer (1922 - 2011). WHY CHOOSE THESE BONES: If you want historically accurate minstrel style bones that deliver a superior dynamic tonal range, are excellent for small, medium or large hands, professionally handcrafted one at a time from exotic hardwood and yours at a budget price, then Regular Pea Patch Minstrel-style Boxwood Bones are for you.
