Morgan Cerablanket is tough, durable, 8 pound ceramic fiber blanket that is rated to 2400 F. This piece is 60" x 24" x 1" It is double needled for strength and longevity. It can take direct flame contact in many cases and also handle compression. It’s made in the USA. Generic, imported ceramic blanket is often not a true bargain when performance and lifespan are factored in. You have time and money invested in your project. Insulate with the best! Quality is certain with Morgan, one of the most respected names in the industry. Cerablanket is Morgan’s higher tier refractory blanket to its well-known Kaowool insulation. Cerablanket exceeds Kaowool in every specification with both a higher temperature rating at 2400 F versus 2300 F, and lesser impurities. Additionally, Cerablanket has low thermal conductivity, excellent thermal shock resistance, low heat storage capacity, and no smelly burnout because it has no organic binders. The R-value is approximately 2.2 per inch. For an 800 F. hot face with 1" of insulation, the cold face of the insulation would be around 176 F. This versatile ceramic insulation is perfect for kilns, blacksmith forges, wood stove insulation, fireplace insulation, welding, boilers, brazing, bead-making and glass blowing, soldering, raku and pottery kilns, muffler packing and many more applications. It is easy to cut to fit with the included CM-Ceramics knife that saves your blade. It is light weight, flexible, and will conform to the inner shape of a propane tank forge, for example. The blanket can be installed with mechanical fasteners such as stainless-steel pins or bolts, or adhered with ceramic adhesive, or sodium silicate. Manufacturer\'s Product Data Sheets are included.
