What makes it so safe is its housing and retractable blade. The thick protective shell on the JAWSAW leaves the chain and bar far less exposed than on traditional chainsaws. The blade and chain are incapable of getting outside of the housing when in use. And when not in use they retract into the neck of the tool, so you’ll never have an exposed saw just lying around. You can even cut branches directly on the ground. Regular chainsaws require you to prop up logs and branches to safely cut them. But the JAWSAW’s protective housing acts as that prop so you can cut fallen branches directly on the grass or pavement. It’s only 7.9 lbs with the battery attached, that makes it easy to cut branches over your head, and just use in general. Its no-load speed is 1350 revs/min, so it’s got some bite to it. And the automatic chain tightening and oiling systems keep the blade and chain operating at peak efficiency at all times.
