Black Beauty is a compact elephant ear that grows 4 to 6 feet tall and wide. It has puckered, dark purple leaves and thick black stems. If your plant doesn\'t look just like the picture, give it a little time to grow up. Elephant ears\' attributes become even more defined when they mature. Average mature height: 4-6 feet Light: 65%-73% shade. Likes high light. 80% shade maximum Soil: Prefers plenty of water. Does well in boggy areas. Zones: 8-11 Questions? Problems?
