When operated by parent, there are actually 3 forward speed settings and since the remote is 2.4Ghz, there are no antennas to break and signals won't get crossed. You can steer it left/right and drive it forward/reverse with the remote and press "park" to bring it to a stop. Use it in low speed until they are used to the car and later on switch to faster speed once they are familiar with its operation. Some assembly is required, about 45-60 minutes.
