With the help of FIFO (First Input First Output), ECP is very beneficial for large data devices such as scanners and printers. EPP（Enhanced Parallel Port) Asymmetric two-way communication is provided using the existing parallel port, which is more suitable for parallel port drivers. The BIOS also supports ECP+EPP mode. If you don't have one of the devices, you will waste an IRQ.
