상품설명
We call this rare species Peperomia ‘La Laja Trace’, since it was brought back from the La Laja Trace, which is an elevated hiking trail in Trinidad & Tobago. This small island country is in the Caribbean off the eastern coast of Venezuela. Because it is highly rare and unheard of in the hobby, this species remains officially unidentified (or perhaps not even yet named). We have been propagating this plant for a few years to get familiar with its growth habits and find that it is a prolific little plant that does well without much effort. It can be somewhat compared to Peperomia rubella in leaf size, form, and growth habit. This plant will only grow a couple of inches tall before it falls and trails as a non-climbing vine of bushy growth. We’ve observed that while predominantly green, younger specimens tend to have a dull, maroonish brown coloration on the stems and edges of newer leaf growth, as present in the specimen photographed. Most of our longer, more mature plants do not display this color, however, and are entirely light green. Lighting may also be a factor, so coloration may slightly vary under certain conditions. If you’re looking for a nice, small terrarium/vivarium plant that is very rare in the hobby, be sure to add this one to your collection! ALL PLANTS ARE SHIPPED IN POTS WITH SOIL OR OTHER MEDIA UNLESS IT IS DEEMED NECESSARY TO SHIP BARE ROOT. Pictured in a 2.25" pot.
