The 2018 Nordica Speedmachine 100 ski boot is a tremendous combination of power, comfort, performance, and ease of use. Nordica really hit the nail on the head with this boot and to whom it appeals. With a 100 flex, a 100 mm last, and modern construction materials, the Speedmachine 100 is the perfect boot for intermediate to advanced skiers who are looking for an ideal performance to comfort ratio.In the boot world, a 100 flex rating is the beginning of the advanced range. While not a norm, the flex rating gives an indication of how stiff the boot will be compared to other boots in its category within the manufacturer. In general though, the 100 flex rating is at the beginning of stiff; it's perfect for most intermediate and advanced skiers. As far as the width, 100mm is the beginning of narrow forefoot lasts.If you have a wide foot, you will most likely need to do some modifications at a boot fitter, but for most people, the 100mm width is a good mix of comfort and performance. The shell is made up of three distinct injections of plastic: the first is the chassis, which is the stiffest plastic. It holds the rest of the shell in place and makes up the bottom and spine of the boot.
