C.G. Conn New Wonder "Chu Berry" 1927 Series II Alto Sax The official name for this model is a New Wonder, but most people know them as the "Chu Berry" model, named for the famous tenor player that used this model. The Conn Saxophone Family: Nine world-beaters comprise the illustrious family of Conn saxophones. Each one contributes a beauty of voice which has done much to enrich the coloring of modern orchestras and bands and from the highest note on the little piping E, soprano to the lowest note on the big, pipe organ-like bass, every not is sweetly and uniformly in tune. The celebrated hydraulic expansion process and other patented processes make this possible. Parts of instruments are locked in dies and ironed out against the walls of the dies under terrific hydraulic pressure. Tone holes are located, drawn and rolled by minutely calibrated machinery. Every process of manufacture is micrometrically accurate. The result is the World\'s Finest Saxophones, preferred by the world\'s greatest artists. "SaxPics", "The Vintage Saxophone Gallery", and "The Source for Saxophone Information" 2016
