About waterproof, is it true that the waterproof resistance matters huge between 2 and 3 O-Rings? The answer is NOT a big difference. The waterproof needs to be considered from material of O-Ring, roughness of seals and design allowance; these matters a lot for waterproof ability. ANO lights is less than 0.5% for leaking issue for many years and we never emphasis divers to use with a certain way to avoid leaking, you are free to turn on/off light anytime under water. We always take longer time, more cycles and higher pressure to test 100% on all dive lights as per ASTM B117-03 with HP pressure. When diver goes deeper, if the O-Rings squeeze into the EGG shape without the proper allowance, your dive lights might leak. How bad this would be in if you are in deep water without a durable dive light! You cost more now, you cost less in future! About Lumen, the driving current of a 10W flashlight (See Detail Page of Temperature Test on ANO R105T how hot it is for a 9W flashlight) is about 3.3A and a true Cree XML U4 LED (most efficient LED for flashlight) generates max 960 lumens. The working voltage of a LED is 3.0V and only when the working VOLTAGE & CURRENT are met, you can have close 1000 brightness. You probably like a high false lumen number, but ignore the reality of a battery consumption and you will notice how dim the brightness will be after 15-25 mins burning or your flashlight can only work 20 mins; AA/AAA batteries are good for lumens under 500, 18650 is good for lumens under 850 and 26650/32650 can reach 1000 lumen.
