The playing surface has a coating of blackboard paint, which allows you to use chalk to doodle, sketch, write messages and even keep track of scoring, all of which wipes away easily when it's time to clean up. A unique water-based paint and topcoat are UV, scratch and fade resistant. This table tennis table is designed with a proprietary ALU-TEC climate controlled underside, which controls expansion and contraction due to weather changes. The ALU-TEC surface encapsulates a resin treated board in aluminum in a process that permanently seals the wood; offering unsurpassed durability and allows the playing surface to retain a true bounce experience. Steel table legs have a synthetic powder coating and galvanized treatment which guards against corrosion and scratches. Brackets and leg units are pre-assembled on the table halves, allowing for easy set up. This table tennis table folds when not in use, creating a low center of gravity that makes it easy to move and saves space for storage; measuring 72" L x 66" H x 24" W when collapsed. Patented Safety-Fold with Dual-Lock prevents unintended opening or closing of the table. For added convenience, the netting and resin net posts remain in the play position even when folded.
