Includes: 1 French Desert Fort (MDF Laser Cut), 50 French Foreign Legion figures, 100 Arab Warriors figures, 3 tents, 2 wells, 2 fireplaces. Glue and colours not included. The French conquest of Algeria took place between 1830 and 1847. The French colonial policy of the following years was based on progressive territorial expansion in the North African and Sub-Saharan territories. At the end of the nineteenth century the Tuareg opposed a fair resistance to French troops to defend their land of origin of the central Sahara. The clashes between the French Foreign Legion troops, which had developed and chaired a strong series in the most remote areas of Algerian territory, and the Tuareg Berber troops were numerous and violent. The long struggles ended with the signatures of the treaties of 1905 and 1917 where local people's fairs could not compete with the most advanced and modern weapons of the French army. Historical events inspired numerous novels and movies. The most famous is the 1939 Beau Geste movie from the homonymous adventure novel of P.C. 1924 Wren
