MAX CLR A/B Epoxy Resin is FDA Compliant coating system suitable for direct food contact. Upon cure, MAX CLR demonstrates crystal clear, excellent chemical resistance, and high impact resistance. The cured coating yields a stable and inert barrier that prevents foodstuffs from absorbing into porous substrates, where it can harbor bacteria growth. The cured coating can be sanitized or disinfected with heat or detergent. MAX CLR A/B is suitable for use a coating for wood, pottery, and 3D printed plastics (PLA, PET). MAX CLR demonstrates impact resistant, very high gloss, and surface durability. This formulation is in accordance with CFR Title 21, Part 175.300 and 175.105 for direct and indirect food contact as a resinous adhesive or coatings. MAX CLR A/B is mixed 2:1 by weight or by volume and the mixed viscosity is similar to cooking oil or light syrup. It can be poured into place, Injected, roller or brush applied. It offers a 30 to 45 minute working time and cures to a hard clear finish at room temperature.
