Natureplex BurnX Pain Relieving Gel is for the temporary relief of pain associated with minor burns. This product contains tea tree oil — an antibacterial — and lidocaine 2.5% — a topical anesthetic — to numb the pain. Lidociane 2.5% & Tea Tree Oil View More Information FIRST AID FOR MINOR BURNS Stay calm and hold the burn under cold running water for a few minutes (do not use iced water) and cool the burn. If it is a serious burn consult with a physician right away. For minor burns, apply BurnX Pain Relieving Gel in a thin layer to the affected area on the skin. This product contains tea tree oil an antibacterial and lidocaine 2.5% a topical anesthetic to numb the pain. If needed protect the burn from rubbing and pressure with a sterile non-stick gauze lighted taped or wrapped around it. DO NOT use a dressing that can shed fibers, because the fibers may get caught up in the burn. Change the dressing at least once a day. Minor burns should heal quickly. Be sure not to scratch the burn. Feel free to also apply our Natureplex Triple Antibiotic Original Ointment to help insure that no infection occurs especially if the skin blisters. The signs of a skin infection are: Increased pain Redness Swelling Oozing or Pus Fever The more serious and deeper the burn, the more likely it is to scar. Natureplex Scar Gel will help moisturize and help with skin wound healing to minimize scarring. Contact your doctor for advice. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that works by causing temporary numbness/loss of feeling in the skin and mucous membranes to help offset the pain from the burn.
