WHAT IS IT: Our Jessner\'s peel combines 14 percent salicylic acid, 14 percent lactic acid and 14 percent resorcinol. The peel ships to you in a 30ml (1fl oz) glass amber bottle. This amount will provide 8-10 full face peels. This is a 1.2 pH medium-level peel designed for experienced users, and is suitable for most skin types. Jessner\'s peels have a good track record with darker skin types that normally don\'t respond well to peeling. The lactic acid in this peel stays on the surface of the skin where it provides exfoliation. Lactic acids have been used for centuries to renew skin tone and texture. You can find low concentrations of lactic acid in honey, papaya and citrus fruit. Lactic Acid is an Alpha Hydroxy acid that helps encourage cell turnover and stimulates collagen formation while helping to smooth and soften the skin. Resorcinol provides antiseptic properties while helping to break up the glue that holds dead skin cells together. Resorcinol is an effective exfoliator that helps loosen the damaged skin layers to expose the new fresh skin beneath while also stimulating collagen to form.
