This style involves slightly buffing or sanding full grain leather to give it a soft, velvet-like surface. When properly treated, nubuck can be very resistant to wear. The Worn Terracotta, Burnt Sienna and Chestnut Brown are a natural genuine leather that are dyed for the final color. They can last a very long time when treated properly. Question 2 - How do I care for my new leather band? Answer 2 - Nubuck (Gray) can be cleaned and treated with a suede/nubuck care kit. These kits typically include a brush to clean the surface and a protectant spray. DO NOT USE cream or oil on nubuck finishes unless you want to modify the look & color. The natural surface leather (Worn Terracotta, Burnt Sienna & Chestnut Brown) can be cleaned with a lightly damped cloth, slowly dried, and conditioned with mink oil or shoe cream. DO NOT USE cream or oil with dyes unless you want to change the color of the leather. Question 3 - Is it OK to get my leather band wet? Answer 3 - Minor amounts of water will not harm the leather.
