The ARAID 5000 is a RAID data protection device for 3.5 inch SATA hard drives. The device connects to the computer via a SATA host interface. The ARAID 5000 dynamically builds a RAID 1 disk array supporting data mirroring on two drives. If one disk fails, the computer continues to run un-interrupted and data is never lost. The ARAID will automatically build a replacement drive when inserted into the ARAID. The device mounts in two standard 5-1/4” storage bays (2U) and appears to the computer’s BIOS and operating system as a single hard drive. All data written to the primary drive is automatically and instantly written to the secondary drive. An ARAID is easy to install as a DVD drive and requires no additional driver or application software to operate. Additional Features -Connects to a SATA or IDE PC host interface. The external model connects to USB. -Dynamically creates a RAID 1 array with two 3.5” SATA drives.
