Portable Winch PCW3000-FK Forestry Assortment Kit for foresters, loggers, and woodlot owners. This kit includes all the items needed to pull heavy logs in the forest. Use it to bring down hung-up trees, retrieve game, pull heavy logs, get vehicles stuck out of the mud, and more. Lightweight and compact, the Portable Winch can be carried over long distances, making it much more convenient to move around the forest from location to location. Just tie the rope to the object needing pulling and wind the rope 3-4 times around the drum. The drum rotates continuously while the engine is running and the friction created by pulling on the free end of the rope will pull the object. The included PCA-1290 Skidding Cone prevents logs from getting stuck in roots, stumps, and other obstacles. The unique shape of the cone allows it to slide perfectly along the residual trees, avoiding damage during regeneration. The large opening of the cone can fit 20" diameter logs or a number of small stems attached together when used with the PCA-1295 Choker Chain. The steel rod on the end of the PCA-1295 can be pushed under logs and inserted into the cone's opening.
