Russian Gas Mask Kit New Old Stock Soviet USSR civil guard gas mask kit, new old stock. Civil Guard kits are the same as Russian military GP5 gas masks but have a grey mask instead of military black. This type of gas mask was stored by the Soviets for the event of nuclear, biological or chemical attacks and were to be distributed to the population if needed. Luckily the need rarely arose. These are in new and unissued condition. Great working order with soft rubber, brand new filter and carry case. The metal buttons on the carry pouch might have some surface rust. Other than light corrosion on metal parts these are in perfect working order and remain ready to use. These were made throughout the 1970's and 80's until the end of the cold war. Each kit includes the bag, mask and filter. Some kits include accessories or military literature. These were made over a number of years so expect slight variation in the color/design of the bags and masks. Takes a standard 40mm filter. Note: Though these gas masks and filters may function as intended, they have long exceeded their expiration dates. They are sold as a novelty item only. Use at your own risk.
