상품설명
1 piece A36 Hot Rolled Plate Steel 1/4" x 16" x 16", sheared to size. Edges may be sharp, take care in handling. Grade A36 material is a low carbon steel that is designed for structural applications. It offers good formability and weldability. While typically having a lower cost than cold rolled, it does not possess the closer size tolerances that cold rolled does. Also, the surface finish is, by the hot rolled process, somewhat rough. A36 steel has a Poisson's ratio of 0.26, and a shear modulus of 78 GPa (11,300,000 psi). A36 steel in plates , bars, and shapes with a thickness of less than 8 in (203 mm) has a minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi (250 MPa) and ultimate tensile strength of 58,000–80,000 psi (400–550 MPa). ASTM A36 is the most commonly used mild and hot-rolled steel. It has excellent welding properties and is suitable for grinding, punching, tapping, drilling and machining processes. Yield strength of ASTM A36 is less than that of cold roll C1018, thus enabling ASTM A36 to bend more readily than C1018. Normally, larger diameters in ASTM A36 are not produced since C1018 hot roll rounds are used.
