상품설명
The 2021 American Gold Eagle celebrates the 35th anniversary of the series with two different reverse designs. This Type 2 version of the series features a new, revamped reverse design. In \'85 the “Gold Bullion Coin Act”, signed by 40th President Reagan, regulated the production and set the value, dimensions and design of the series. The gold used in the minting of the coins was required to originate from newly mined domestic sources. In \'86, the gold eagle bullion series was introduced by the United States Mint to honor independence, becoming a viable alternative to other international gold bullion series popular at the time - South African Krugerrand and Canadian maple. Made of 91.67% pure gold, the American Gold Eagle holds legal value backed by the US Government. The obverse features an adaptation of Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ gold eagle design with Lady Liberty walking confidently against the sun’s rays, surrounded by 50 stars, symbolizing unity of the 50 states, the enlightenment and hope that freedom represents and the importance of embracing peace with the hopes of a brighter life. The new reverse features the majestic bald eagle\'s profile. It was designed by artist Jennie Norris and sculpted by medallic artist Renata Gordon both from the Artistic Infusion Program invited by the US Mint. It also features the inscriptions; "United States of America," "E Pluribus Unum" "In God We Trust,", "25 Dollars," and "1/2 oz. Fine Gold." We are proud to offer you the 2021 1/2 oz Gold American Eagle, struck at West Point Mint (no mint mark), in Gem Uncirculated condition, certified First Day of Issue by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. This preserved piece of history holds a face value of $25. A fascinating way to enjoy Earth’s natural riches now transformed into timeless and historical investments.
