Afghan Khukuri / Kukri Knife Handmade by ESK is mostly used in any farm in the countryside of Nepal as a woodcutting and general-purpose tool it is a very common agricultural and domestic implement in Nepal. kukri knife / kukri machete use has varied from building, clearing, cutting firewood, clearing weeds, dividing perennials, slashing brush, and digging to cutting meat and vegetables, skinning animals, and opening tins. The kukri knife is the hardest working, toughest and roughest traditional blade. it is about 16.5" overall length. 11-inch blade high polished made of highly graded carbon steel with balanced water temper on the edge made it very strong blade. as it is made of carbon steel you can also sharpen as you wish. thickness of the blade is about 8 mm at the thickest part of spine. it is full tang blade running through the handle making it super strong. the handle is about 5.5" long from guard to pommel. the handle shape is different and has finger grip. the scabbard is made from cottonwood wrapped with natural water buffalo leather. the scabbard has a leather loop with fasten-up style in the front with two frogs. it can be used to chop wood or bone and cleaning bushes the craftsmanship on afghan khukuri knife is amazing so if you are looking for the best quality kukri you will not be disappointed. two small accessory knives that comes with this purchase: the karda; which has a sharp edge is used of skinning animal hairs or more detailed works and other one called chakmak which has blunt edge is used for sharpening blade.
