REDUCES GLARE SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ THE SCREEN – Blocks sun from washing out the display so you can read sonar data, contours, and charts without cranking the brightness. Works in direct sun on open water, boat dashes, and kayak mounts.
PROTECTS THE SCREEN, CARD SLOTS, AND TOUCH SURFACE – Shields the display from rain, spray, and salt. Keeps water off the touchscreen so it responds properly, and covers the SD card slot to prevent ingress during use.
REDUCES BRIGHTNESS DEMAND — SAVES BATTERY AND REDUCES UNIT TEMPERATURE – Less glare means you run the screen at lower brightness. Lower brightness means lower power draw and less heat buildup, which reduces the likelihood of thermal shutdowns on hot days.
