Evans Prep Fluid is a waterless cooling system flush designed to seek out remaining water after draining the cooling system of an engine. Prep Fluid should be used when block drains are unavailable or cannot be removed. It is not a substitute for thoroughly draining the cooling system and related components. A minimum of 2 gallons of Prep Fluid is recommended for heavy duty diesel engines and 1 gallon of Prep Fluid is recommended for all motorcycles converting to High Performance Coolant or Powersports. Prep Fluid is NOT intended to be a stand-alone operating coolant, but as a flush only. Test for water content to confirm less than 3% water. After switching to EVANS 100% Waterless Coolant there will be no required cooling maintenance or additives. It is recommended to inspect the cooling system at least once a year to ensure that no contamination of the coolant has occurred. Evans Coolant contains a bittering agent/bitterant. The Evans Cooling Refractometer is designed to accurately test for residual water content. By determining the water content you'll be able to safely set up your cooling system with Evans Cooling products. Pre-calibrated for accuracy! Fast, simple optical method.
