For sale is a 1960's vintage table alarm clock radio, left behind in the estate of my late parents. The radio is a "Juliette" model RS-68C "Solid State 6 Instant Sound AM Clock Radio." The "radiomuseum" site guesses the year of manufacture as 1969(?).
The cabinet is modern plastic, with a faux wood grain. There are no apparent cracks or scratches on the cabinet. I lightened a few of the photographs to show clearly the condition, but the actual cabinet is more dark brown. The clock is by Telechron, and it works well. The alarm does start the radio instantly. There does not appear to be a buzzer option. The radio stands 7-1/4" tall, 7" wide, and is 4" deep, allowing for extended controls.
The radio was distributed by TOPP Import & Export, Inc. in Miami, Florida. They imported "Juliette" and "Fiesta" brands of consumer electronics manufactured in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong.
This would be a fine piece to show off in your collection, or a great (functional!) piece of art deco for your living space!
