Up for sale here is this vintage 1955 Centralab 10k ohm linear taper potentiometer. This measures around 8.15k ohms. It has a short 1/4" round shaft, so any 1/4" knob that locks on with a set screw will fit. This is undated but was removed from a piece of test gear from 1955. It is guaranteed to work great for you, though it may need some Deoxit. The terminals have a little vintage solder and wire bits on them. This is a pretty rare potentiometer and would be great on your guitar or amp. Please see my pictures for details and measurements.
