Professional quality magnetic recording tapes, Type 251 on 7 inch reels
from the late 1960s, brand new in original packaging in the original
boxes! All 5 tapes were found packaged together wrapped in the
original factory clear plastic wrapping. These are unrecorded, blank tapes.
This comes from my father-in-law's audio business from the late 1960s. I can vouch for this as I married into the family more than 50 years ago. I had no idea that my brother-in-law kept these in a locker all these years.
Total length is 1,200 feet, 1 1/2 mil. Audio Devices was a quality American brand of reel to reel tapes in the 1950s through the 1970s. Their tapes were often used for professional recordings in the 1950s and 1960s and had a great reputation. In 1972 they were purchased by Capitol Records. Yes, you can still make high quality recordings on these 50+ year old tapes.
Reel to Reel tapes from the 1950s and 1960s that are truly NOS (new old stock) are very difficult to find.
