Rare and discontinued 2012 Red Wing Heritage 4579 Beckman - Brown Boomer Leather (J.Crew Collab)

I am the original owner of these boots, purchased brand new in 2012. For years, these were the centerpiece of my wardrobe. However, my personal style has evolved significantly: these days, I find myself almost exclusively in athletic shoes like Nike and Adidas rather than heritage boots. Since I’ve transitioned to sports shoes for my day-to-day, these beautiful boots are simply sitting in my closet, and they deserve to be worn by someone who appreciates this specific era of Red Wing craftsmanship.

Even as my style shifted, I made sure these were taken care of. In 2021, I sent them back to the Red Wing Shoe Co. in Minnesota for a full $100 factory resole to ensure they were in peak condition.

Since that professional restoration, I have barely worn them. As you can see in the photos, the leather is in exceptional shape, and the new soles have nearly 100% of their life remaining. You are getting a 2012 "unicorn" model with the structural integrity of a brand-new boot.

The Brown Boomer leather is what makes this pair special. It features a rugged, matte, oil-tanned finish that provides a much deeper color profile than current models. You will not find a current model that has this same aesthetic and style.
