Beautiful bookmatched set of old Redwood, perfect quarter sawn with some really crazy medullary rays. The tap tone on this piece is insane, there’s plenty of old growth redwood that looks dense but is actually floppy and dead sounding, this is not that. Also has some of the tightest growth rings I’ve ever seen, possibly up to 400 years on each half. Outline is an OM shape which fits fully above the imperfection towards the bottom.
