This collectible Victorian edition remains in its original green publisher’s cloth binding with bright gilt spine lettering and is complete with a frontispiece portrait and ten full-page engraved illustrations. The book presents exceptionally well for its age and would make an excellent addition to any rare book, literature, or Dante collection.

Condition

Very Good antique condition.

The binding is sound and remains tight. Pages are clean with light age toning typical of a book of this age. All ten engraved illustrations and the frontispiece are present and clean. Gilt lettering remains bright. The covers show moderate rubbing and edge wear with minor wear to the corners. A small beginning hinge separation is present but the binding remains secure. There is a light pencil ownership notation on the front endpaper. No library stamps or ex-library markings.
