These fit any 4x5 camera that takes standard 4x5 film holders. I can also supply these for cameras that take 3x4” film holders, just mention the smaller size in a note when you order. I ship using USPS flat rate boxes, so they’ll arrive quickly. When you order more than one holder, I cover the cost of any extra shipping charges.

This holder is my own design that improves upon this style of adapted plate holder. It holds the plates more firmly without causing any bends in thin trophy aluminum like the 4-corner style holders with inserts can, and it produces a nice clean border on the image if you keep the holder clean. I’ve gone through many iterations over the past two years tweaking it to arrive at this ultimate design that is sturdy.

This takes full 4x5” plates, unlike Chamomix, so you can get cheaper plates from Main Trophy or Bostick and Sullivan without cutting them custom. If you cut your own glass plates, there’s some extra room to account for any imperfections in your cuts. If you need a custom opening size that’s smaller, I can modify my design to meet your need. Just ask.

I use these for wet plate collodion as well as J Lane Dry Plates. I keep a few J Lane plates in for weeks at a time with no light leaks.

There’s a finger groove to help you guide the plates gently in and out with a gloved finger. I can use this holder entirely one-handed.
