Operation
• Serviced, cleaned, adjusted, and working at the time of check.
• Operates on 2 × AA batteries or a 3V AC adapter.
• Playback, rewind, fast-forward, and stop were confirmed.
• TONE switch works properly.
• Stereo playback was confirmed.
• Both headphone jacks (A / B) were confirmed working.
• The yellow HOT LINE button lowers the audio temporarily.
• Known issue: Built-in microphone function was not working.
• Performance note: Some wow/flutter damage remains, and slight distortion is present.
Condition
• Pre-owned vintage item with heavy cosmetic wear.
• The exterior has many dents, paint loss, scratches, scuffs, and general wear from age/use.
• Despite the rough exterior, the unit remains usable.
• Battery box is clean overall.
• Battery door opens/closes, though it is slightly stiff.
• Tape lid opens/closes, but the body has looseness/wobble consistent with age/condition.

Measurements / Service Details
• Azimuth adjusted using a 6.3kHz test tape.
• Wow & flutter measured at approx. ±0.7–0.9% using a 3kHz test tape.
• Tape speed measured at approx. 3kHz ±8Hz.
• Unit was disassembled, cleaned, adjusted, demagnetized, soldered as needed, treated at contacts, and lubricated.
• Two belts were replaced with new parts.
• Pinch roller was replaced with a better-quality part.
• Missing clear window was replaced.
