I was told that turning on a old tube amp can overload the capacitors….
I was advised to turn it on for half a second and then let it sit for ten minutes….
I did this four times before checking it with speakers hooked up…
Tested on FM and speaker crackled…. no antenna hooked up
Volume worked
The big green tuning tube came on.. see photo
Unit has switch for 100V or 117V… I made sure it was on 117V when testing…
