The carving, which may be South American, is quite primitive in style, but shows the crown of thorns and the facial agony and loincloth
I have had this piece hanging on the wall for years and years,; it is definitely a vintage piece, if not an antique!
It is carved from a dark wood, but the type of wood in unknown to me.
Measures 6' tall x 3" wide and approximately 1" in depth.
