Selling a very nice pair of 1940s Northern Electric monobloc 6L6 cinema/Audio amplifiers. Model numbers on both amps are R4045C and serial numbers C2299 and C2377....

Northern Electric was the Canadian branch of the Western Electric company and the two sites shared many design patents before they official split in the late 1960's.

These amps have huge transformers and a very nice quality of audio tone!

Cosmetically the amps show normal wear for the age. This includes paint wear, scratches, corrosion or other defects. Please see pictures for details.

Mechanically Both amps have been bench tested through a pair of Jensen A12 speakers which are not included.... The amps both have good transformers but hum when powered up. They will need new electrolytic capacitors. Included are Premium vintage tubes which have been tested and are in good order. .

Sold as is with no returns. They are currently in their original state which requires the use of Field Coil speakers. You will need to modify these with a choke or resistor and capacitor to use with modern permanent magnet speakers. Schematic posted on the listing. These will need to be setup by a tech for home use. Email with any questions.
