This listing is for a rare antique Swiss cylinder music box.

This is a forte piano style music box that utilizes 2 separate combs in order to create contrasting forte and piano passages when played.

This music box is very large, measuring about 29 x 11.65 x 7.6 inches. The cylinder is about 17.25 inches in length.

The music box is in overall good condition. No missing or broken teeth. All teeth are present. The box is detailed with gorgeous inlaid detailing throughout.

The movement was last serviced in 2015. It played when tested (see video). It plays 9 songs, including The Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II.

There are some signs of normal wear and age present. Some repairs to the base. A few very small chips to the edge of the left side base. Door/lid doesn’t close all the way (typical for larger boxes due to their enormous weight and size over time). 1 screw missing from the back.
