VIVITAR (COSINA MADE) 24MM F2.8 ADAPTED TO CANON EF

 This is one I came across years ago and unable to get it to fit my canon full frame set about adapting it. It is Pentax K mount however when you buy the PK to EF adapter it will fit a crop sensor but not a full frame sensor as both the guard and the iris actuating pin on rear of lens fouls the FF mirror causing an error message and possible damage..

 I removed plastic guard from lens and used a dremel to cut it down level with lens mount and trimmed several millimetres from actuating pin then re-assembled. Put Expensive brass based adapter on and worked perfectly.. As I had no intentions of re-selling at time I have re-calibrated lens for Canon flange focal distance and put two spots of Araldite on rear adapter to ensure no movement.

 This is actually quite an awesome lens considering it's age.. Pentax forums rate it highly and best build of all. Obviously it is a full manual lens and the adaptation is NON REVERSIBLE.. ie: It won't work on a Pentax again..

 I have had this side by side with my Canon EF 24mm F2.8is and I'm sorry to say there isn't a great deal of difference.. The IS lens cost over £300. Yes so I was a bit peeved at that but the IS lens makes up in other ways.

 Anyway awesome little wide angle. Clean, Clear, Adapted to Canon FF and re-calibrated for infinity correctly. For sale as I know someone will love this and I have several 24mm lenses including 'L' so I'd rather see it being used.

 Once again FOR CANON FULL FRAME ONLY. NON-REVERSIBLE ADAPTATION. YOU CANNOT GET THESE COSINA MADE 24's IN M42.. Thank you for viewing...
