VINTAGE JAGDGLAS VOIGTLANDER & SOHN GERMAN BINOCLUARS IN LEATHER CASE NO TOP. This listing is for binoculars that come is a partial brown leather case (NO top) The case has a brass stud on the bottom and a slender LONG leather strap (someone put a staple on the end tab to hold it in place), and there is an adjustable metal buckle on the strap. The case surface has heavy wear with original owner's name label inside (from Baltimore, MD). The black binoculars are marked on the top bridge Jagdglas and Voigtlander, there is NO magnification number for strength, but the underside of the bridge is marked -8478. Each eye piece is a cup shape with raised lettering around the inside VOIGTLANDER & SOHN with 3 raised stars. The frame holds the body stationary. When fully extended the eyepiece has a visible shaft of approx. 1-1/8" from top rim of body to bottom rim of the eyepiece, and each eyepiece screws off easily and back on securely. Each lens has a shade extender outer ring 1-1/8" and when closed, the binoculars measure approx. 4-1/8" tall. Both the eyepieces and the larger front lens unscrew for cleaning. There is NO fog, fungus, discoloration in the lenses, just some dust, and the binoculars come with original slender leather neck strap. When packed SECURELY for shipping, it weighs 1 pound 12 ounces.
