Sell/Trade-in Program FAQS

CyclingUpgrades offers a Sell/Trade-in Program for customers looking to sell their cycling equipment.

How do I receive a quote for the items I would like to sell or trade?

We recommend using the form on our website to send us pictures and details of the items you would like to sell or trade. 

How quickly should I expect a response to my submission?

We strive to respond to all submissions within 48 hours.

How should I pack my items and are they insured?

Check with your local bike ship for sturdy bike, frame, and wheelboxes. If you are unfamiliar with the process of packing a full bike for safe shipment, your local bike ship can usually package your bike for you for a small fee. We recommend crumpled packing paper and cushion foam and discourage the use of bubble wrap (once the bubbles pop is it very ineffective at protecting fragile items). For frame coverage we recommend ¾-1" pipe insulation which is usually available at your local hardware store. Please fill empty voids in boxes with appropriate packing materials.

You are responsible for proper packaging to meet minimum carrier packaging requirements. Please note that shipping insurance does NOT cover improper or inadequate packaging. We provide basic insurance of $500 on inbound packages. If you would like to purchase additional insurance coverage, please contact us before we generate the shipping label.

Shipping

We ship to customers in the USA and internationally.

We require a signature for all orders over $750 to ensure the safe and secure delivery of the order and receiving a receipt of goods.

Shipping Insurance

We provide basic insurance coverage on all orders against loss and/or damage in transit. This includes coverage of up to $200 on orders below $750 and coverage of up to $500 for orders over $750. If the package is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us immediately to report the issue. If additional insurance coverage is desired, please contact us for insurance pricing after placing the order.

Delivery Times

We strive to process and ship all orders within 1 business day. Delivery times will vary depending on the shipping method selected and the destination.

International Orders

Buyers are responsible for any import fees, duties, brokerage charges, or return to sender charges that may be incurred during the shipping process. If an international order is returned to us due to a customs issue, we will refund the order amount less the shipping costs or any fees associated with the return. We do not accept returns on international orders.

Packages Lost or Damaged in Transit

If you suspect your package is lost or was damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately so we can work to resolve the issue. If you receive an item that is damaged in shipping, please take pictures of the packaging, damage to the product, and retain the packaging until instructed otherwise. 

Packages Lost or Stolen after Delivery

It is the customers responsibility to ensure that the delivery address is secure and that the customer or someone authorized by the customer is available to receive the package. If the customer suspects that the package has been lost or stolen, please contact us immediately to report the issue. We also suggest the customer contact the local Post Office, UPS, or Fedex location if a package has been lost or stolen after delivery.

Returns

We accept domestic returns within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition as when it was received. We reserve the right to refuse returns for items that have been installed or used, or to deduct a restocking fee from the refunded amount. Buyers are responsible to package returns well to arrive safely back at CyclingUpgrades.

We reserve the right to accept or reject a returns and refund request at our sole discretion. We may not accept requests for returns which have been used and/or damaged by the Customer or for fraudulent return/refund requests.

We do not accept returns on international orders.

Refunds

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method once we have received and inspected the returned item. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to be processed. If the item is not returned in the same condition as when it was received, or if it is returned after the 30-day return period, we reserve the right to refuse the return or deduct a restocking fee from the refunded amount. Original shipping charges are not refunded unless we made an error in our listing, or the item was not as described.

CYCLINGUPGRADES DOES NOT MANUFACTURE THE PRODUCTS SOLD ON THE SITE, BUT TAKES STEPS TO INSPECT THE PRODUCTS SOLD ON THE SITE. YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT CYCLINGUPGRADES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE PRODUCTS SOLD BY CYCLINGUPGRADES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR ANY OTHER LOSSES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE PRODUCT.

IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT FOR ANY REASON, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY IS TO RETURN THE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR RETURN POLICY.
