🔧 Service & Component Upgrades
The amplifier has been professionally serviced and recapped by respected valve‑amp technician Firebottle (Alan). The majority of capacitors were replaced with high‑temperature, low‑ESR parts. The main smoothing capacitors tested strong and were retained due to their quality.
HT voltage has been reduced to extend valve life, including the use of a 1k2 3W resistor in place of the original 100R screen resistor.
A small number of internal reliability mods have also been carried out to preserve the original sonic character while addressing known weak points.
